Building a home comes with a lot of decisions. We tend to obsess over styles, colors, and finishes when it comes to envisioning our dream home. All of those things matter in the end, but who will have the ability to bring your ideas into reality? Looking back on our home building experience, it is evident to us that the single most important decision we made, was choosing Collin Homes to be our builder.
Paul and Tara Warner
While building our own craftsman style home, the customer showed up at the job site to speak to us about building a home for them, explaining to us that they have been searching for a custom home builder that would work with them on building a craftsman style home on their property. They we excited when walking through our home, admiring the quality of the construction.
Build a 465 square foot Casita (In-Law home) to be built on the property and then a year later build a 2,400 square foot home, home would consist of 3 bedrooms, 2 ½ baths, formal dining , office, and bonus room, both homes would match in architecture and color.
Customer had the blueprints designed out of state and they were not to code for Mecklenburg County. Lot was extremely tight for both the Casita and the home. Customers lived in the Casita while the new home was being built.
We had our architect and engineer make the necessary changes to meet county requirements. Due to the lot being extremely tight, we needed to make sure the survey was done to the exact inch to make sure both the Casita and the home would fit on the lot properly. We worked with the customers to create and design some aspects of the homes
Collin Homes strived to ensure that the Warner’s building process was an enjoyable one and that we exceeded their expectations. We worked diligently to complete the building in a timely manner keeping in mind that the customers were residing in the Casita while their home was being built. We strived to maintain integrity and cleanliness to produce a beautiful home that Paul & Tara would love and enjoy.
